Network Operations Manager

As the Network Opertions Manager working within the TechOPs Network Tower, you will be responsible for the EUR Zone sites scope, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and optimal performance.
Planning & executing audits, improvement plans and implementing standard changes, strategic initiatives to enhance our network capabilities are your drive. You will also manage & improve operations cost, budget & related vendor POs.

Located in Leuven, you will be reporting directly to the zone Network Lead and will be working within a virtual organization spreaded across Europe & Globally. Work in a quick changing environment, where processes are often not clearly defined or implemented. Work for multicultural organization. You will closely communicate to all internal stakeholders, including Network Team, Service Desk, Workplace, IT Operations Managers, Onsite Support, TechOps and key business contacts, as well as external vendors supporting network related demands/operations.

You will also lead and support specific transformations to Dev Ops, Sec Ops in Network and integrate network monitoring tools into Service Now.

You will be identifying process gaps/breaks/ automation opportunities & needs and will be recommending process and automation improvements, as final step you will be documenting the new/adjusted processes/automations.

You will be controlling, managing, improving KPIs & reports from vendors, process manuals, as well as KBs related to Network Ops scope. You will contribute to Change Management process, Change Requests, CR process.

You will delegate tasks to Network Ops Expert, Network Analysts & follow up on completion.

· End 2 End lifecycle of Network Operations

· Own complete ITIL process framework for services in scope directly or indirectly through internal and / or 3rd party vendors.

· Ensure reliable, stable & efficient operations of network services aiming to avoid/minimize business disruptions

· Perform/coordinate all required activities to support network operations in a standard way, leveraging best practices in network maintenance & support

· Manage vendors and align with internal & external teams to deliver according to SLA & agreed costs

· Work towards Security and Compliance to make sure all our environments are with the right level of compliance and have ZERO open compliance issues

· Contribute to 3 Year Planning to define priorities for services in scope together with Project / Architecture Teams.

· Is the escalation point and owner to drive resolution for Network related issues, problems and standard requests.

· Owns vendor management and governance with internal & external support teams as well as alignment with Business through Stakeholder Management to internal customers.

· Maintains operational integrity: Responsible for operational and technology performance across EUR Zone, manage escalations and approve go -live and P2BAU

· Own budget for Network Ops services in scope: participates in annual budget planning. Monitors and tracks budget consumption through the year following monthly routine cycle. Identifies deviations and actions for gap-close. Execute hands-on activities for financial management

· Regular visit to sites in scope to build relationships with business & validate network performance onsite

· Occasional trips to key 3rd party vendors & internal support teams


· Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience

· Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing. Knowledge on additional Western European languages (German, French, Dutch) is a plus

· Experience in Information Technology Operations is an advantage

· Understanding IT outsourced model

· Advanced level usage of Microsoft softwares (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, Teams)

· General computer and technology proficiency

· Experience in working in a multi-national environment

· Experience working with teams spread across different geographies

· Knowledge of networking technologies and best practices preferred

· Industry certifications such as CCNA or equivalent is an advantage

· Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions.

· Good knowledge and understanding of Service management processes

· Knowledge of ITIL standards and methods

· Knowledge /Experience in Infra network technologies (WAN/LAN/WLAN/Voice) & monitoring / Troubleshooting tools

· PowerBI, Python, Github knowledge is an advantage

· Driving license
