Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) - Python / TypeScript - in Dresden

Job description

Scionics is looking for a Fullstack Developer to join the product development team. As a member (m/f/d) of our team, you will use Python, TypeScript, MariaDB as well as FastAPI and KnockoutJS to drive the development of our products for biological research.

Our Ops team provides a central infrastructure that is ideal for our developers (m/f/d). This includes a state-of-the-art CI/CD pipeline for automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery and quality assurance to identify and fix issues early. Through regular round-robin code reviews and training, you will have the opportunity to learn from your colleagues (m/f/d) and see what others are working on.

This position can be filled with 30 to 40 hours per week and is possible in a hybrid model. Choose what works best for you.

Your tasks

• Maintenance and further development of existing applications
• Learning new technologies and using them to solve problems
• Giving short demonstrations to colleagues and possibly customers (m/f/d)
• Giving feedback on the code written by colleagues
• Participate in discussions about improving our code and processes

Your profile

• A high level of skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML/CSS
• Preferably knowledge of Python, but at least another common programming language
• Familiarity with working in a Unix/Linux environment
• Good knowledge of SQL and database theory
• Basic knowledge of at least one common relational database system (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres)
• Experience in working with version management systems such as Git
• Willingness to learn from others and share your knowledge
• You appreciate concise solutions to complicated problems
• Self-motivated
• English language skills
