Job summary:

As part of Belden's Commercial Operations Team we are seeking a skilled and talented Project Engineer to join our team. As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for design, documentation, and testing of engineering projects within our EMEA organization. We rely on you to oversee the technical aspects of various project and ensure their successful completion.

Responsibilities:

• Cabinet Design : planning and creating the layout and specifications for cabinets or storage units within a project. Involving the optimal configuration, materials, dimensions, and functionality of the cabinets to meet the project's requirements.
• Technical Documentation : Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including engineering specifications, technical drawings, and reports. Create and update project documentation throughout all project phases.
• Build Documentation : Ensure the accurate collection of documents providing detailed information about the construction/development of the project as a reference for all stakeholders involved to ensure the project is executed in accordance with the defined scope, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• FAT Preparation & Execution: The Factory Acceptance test is a critical step to ensure that the equipment meets the specified requirements and functions properly before it is shipped to the customer's site. The project engineer takes the lead in preparing and executing all FAT's for various projects incl. FAT planning, creating a test environment set-up, preparing a detailed test plan, issue identification and resolution, documenting test results, test completion and sign-off.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Resource Management: depending on the technical project requirements you support the project manager in equipment and materials procurement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus on OT / IT networking in vertical markets like power utilities, mass transit, discrete manufacturing
• Experience of working within a medium to large sized international organization with a matrix environment
• Experience with establishing technical documentation that meets customer expectations as well as legal and organization standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholder expectations within scope of a project
• Expertise in turnkey projects involving multiple vendor solutions for industrial applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• A true team player, respectful of team roles and responsibilities
• You have a practical attitude and have excellent problem-solving abilities
• You have attention to detail and the highest quality standards
