JavaScript Front-End Developer

Strengthen an exciting organisation in expansion with your expertise! The Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) is looking for a JavaScript Front-End Developer for immediate employment in the IT department .

YOUR TASKS

§ You will execute the UI development flow of an information system: analysis, development and basic testing. This is done in consultation with a science officer and under the direction of an IT project manager.

§ You keep the information systems operational and performant and develop services and web applications to make data easily accessible online.

§ You are responsible for the SoundLib data system ( https://www.vliz.be/en/news/ai-underwater-noise-library-should-ensure-safety-offshore-infrastructure-and-stimulate-new ) and related applications with the aim to optimize and further expand them within the frame.

§ You support users and train them in using new information systems.

§ If necessary, you participate in the data management of these information systems.

Jouw profiel

YOUR PROFILE

§ You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in informatics or computer science, or equal by experience.

§ Excellent knowledge of JavaScript UI framework (i.e. React, Next.js).

§ You can easily model applications, using the correct analysis tools.

§ You have experience in Python and consuming REST APIs.

§ You have knowledge of Git (CI/CD).

§ You have experience with database design and systems (PostgreSQL).

§ You master the following scripting languages: SQL, HTML, bash, ...

§ Background knowledge of audio processing and Linux are a plus.

• Technische en functionele problemen analyseren
  Corrigerende acties, technische aanpassingen, ... voorstellen
• Een databank aanspreken: PostgreSQL
• Programmeren in een specifieke computertaal
• Geïntegreerde beheersprogramma's aanpassen en parametreren
• Programmeren in een computertaal: Javascript
• Een applicatie ontwikkelen die aan een databank gelinkt is
• Programmeren in een computertaal: Java
• Een prototype van de technische oplossing realiseren voor validatie door de opdrachtgever (typeconfiguratie, ...)
• Documenten en technische ondersteuning voor de ontwikkelaars, gebruikers, informaticadiensten, ... uitwerken en bijwerken
• Een ontwikkeld product presenteren
  Gebruikers opleiden over de geleverde informaticatoepassingen
• De productie van softwareoplossingen realiseren in een omgeving (servers, werkposten, besturingssystemen, ...)
• Ingrijpen in een informaticadomein: Embedded systems
• Informaticaprogramma's en -applicaties ontwerpen en ontwikkelen
• Ingrijpen in een informaticadomein: Beheer, beslissingneming
• Een prototype of model van de ontwikkeling ontwerpen en uitwerken (design application)
• Een frontend ontwikkelen voor een webtoepassing met: HTML
• Toepassingen ontwikkelen in .Net m.b.v. een framework: Web API
• Behoeften van de klant of gebruiker analyseren
  Het functioneel lastenboek opstellen (specificaties, termijnen, kosten, ...)
• Fasen en procedures van de technische en functionele tests van informaticaprogramma's en -applicaties bepalen en uitvoeren (planning, validatie, ...)
• De technische, economische, … informatie en de reglementering opvolgen en actualiseren
